PS - There is NO MONTHLY FEE for the OTA DVR Channel Master unit. A phenomenal plus for those that are sick and tired of the monthly this and that for TV, HD, DVR, and Programming. #MrAntennaUSA

It was great to see the crew from +USA TODAY earlier this week. They stopped by to chat with our CEO Grant Hall about our newest hardware platform Tablo METRO which is available now for pre-order.

Tablo, a DVR without a subscription fee, introduces it's new model, with a built-in TV antenna, at the Consumer Electronics Show.

I've been using tablo for a year, live 68 miles from the city, have a DIY attic antenna, and get roughly 68 channels. Tablo is an amazing product and is a great buy for any cord cutter. I have the quad tuner which is different than this device. Mostly the same internals. Check out tvfool and http://antennaweb.org to see what sort of channels u can get and what sort of equipment you need. Its not for everyone but I figured since this is a cord cutters forum this new version of their exisitinf awesome products might benefit someone here. Sorry if it doesn't benefit you :-/

As long as you get WiFi in your room (criteria for booking), just bring a tablet and an HDMI cable. I have been doing this for my daughter for some time now.

I assume +Sue Hucke is talking about the Mohu Channels device... preorders on Kickstarter are $80, but Mohu folks told me that they haven't decided on the final pricing yet.

As for your broadband speed -- it won't make Netflix look any better, but the guide may help to find shows ion broadcast TV, so you don't have to stream them to begin with...

The Mohu folks stopped by our office, so we recorded a quick first look at the Mohu Channels device:

Summary: Mohu Channels wants to make it easier to watch free HD TV and online video programming from Netflix and Hulu Plus without the need to switch inputs. Here’s how this looks like.

It's not really a device for cord cutters per se, but interesting nonetheless:

Summary: The Xbox One promises to combine state-of-the-art video gaming with live TV and streaming apps. Check out or hands-on video for a closer look at the device’s entertainment offerings.

Is anyone here using the XBONE as their TV media center.  We had a couple xbox 360's when we cut the cord about 4 years ago and they have worked great for us(the whole family games)  We primarily use Media Center and I am curious if anyone has tried to use the ONE as their main TV MC.  Not being an extender is a deal breaker right now but I would gladly get a one if the DLNA has an equivalent or better UI.

On Thursday, in my opinion, the  FCC made a great decision on  Net Neutrality.  To celebrate I thought I would re-watch this video. Without a doubt the funiest activist video ever. Like the decision or not this is priceless and great CordCutter TV.

i dont understand why the search is limited to amazon and hulu. Maybe cus im a gtv user and have come to expect the search to look at all my subscriptions. I was disappointed that Prime members like myself got no incentive to give this box a try, even the $35 chromecast offered Netflix for a few months. The specs are awesome, no doubt about that....still dont know about this one... especially since i dont use prime video all that much
