If you ask me about Agile, I would say in not so many words that it's pretty worthless, but what I'd actually have meant is what is so eloquently written here -

This may be of interest, especially if you're a member of the Linux Foundation (LF).

It appears that the main interest of the LF is to their corporate members (which is what a US based Foundation is legally bound to do), not Linux itself ...which has resulted in the following situation discussed in the link.

The TL;DR facts are, from which you can draw your own conclusions:

* The Linux Foundation has withdrawn financial support from the Software Freedom Conservancy (SFC)
* The SFC, which is one of the few organisations that fight legally for GPL compliance, is currently involved in a lawsuit against VMware regarding their alleged Linux GPL non-compliance
* VMware is a corporate member of the Linux Foundation

Suffice to say, I'm no longer a LF member.

Help are there any QNAP Linux user out there, my raid system is showing the drives as unmounted, any help would be appreciated.

Obvious, but worth repeating :

"...Experts agree it is far more difficult for intelligence agencies to manipulate open source software programs than many of the closed systems developed by companies like Apple and Microsoft..."

From +Matt Moore, replies to the mailing list (http://mailman.lug.org.uk/pipermail/swlug/2014-November/007805.html) please!

Folks,

For a few years now we've had a Christmas dinner at the Vegetarian Food Studio, which is an excellent curry house in Cardiff.  The food there is excellent, it's only a short walk from the middle of town and it's not expensive either.  This would be on the normal Tuesday night Cardiff meet.

Is anyone interested in doing that again this year?

It costs about £10-15 for lots of food.  They don't have a booze licence, so you can bring your own.  If you're definitely interested (please don't cancel on me, only say if you're 100% sure) please let me know and I'll book a table.

Just to remind you all - you can grab a free digital copy of Linux Voice each month (SWLUG have a year's subs) by coming along to one of the meetings, talks, or joining us in IRC - as easy as clicking the link on www.swlug.org!

Re: SWLUG talks

I believe +Matt Willsher  is sending slide links to everyone who signed up the SWLUG talks last Saturday, but for those who didn't the link to my slides is:

https://www.dropbox.com/l/6k3nfOsK5TLYIepeyMc2qb??text=1

Also, attendees are welcome to an electronic copy of our SWLUG Linux Voice subscription, so if you want the latest one (issue 3) and didn't sign up on eventbrite, let me know.

Another way to get a copy would be to drop in and say hi on the IRC channel :) There's a link / details for the IRC at http://www.swlug.org
