I've heard from +andrew carle that the audio cable may ground itself on the metal perimeter of an iPhone (see image). some tape or other insulating material between the audio connector and the phone should do the trick!

(I have an iPhone 5s and haven't experienced this problem myself.  I did pick an audio cable that can fit most iPhone cases so you don't have to take off the case of your phone to plug in the turntable.  But if you do see the message 'Unable to connect to turntable' and everything else looks fine, this is something to try!)

Beta testing invites just went out for the audio recording feature!

Email me at ttseng@mit.edu if you would like Beta access.  With the audio recording feature, you can add short audio descriptions of your projects (check out the video below)!

I would especially like help with testing the following
* Adding audio recordings to your Spins
* Rewriting audio recordings
* Removing audio recordings
* Exporting video with audio recordings
* Listening to audio recordings through the app

I added a feature for adding sounds to Spins!  I'm hoping this will enable people to add quick audio descriptions to their projects.

Using the website, you can upload mp3 or m4a audio files to a Spin by following these directions:

1. Open up a project on your profile page on the Spin website and then click the "i" button for a particular Spin.
2. On the Spin page, you can click the Add Audio icon in the bottom right to upload a mp3 or m4a.
3. Once the file is uploaded, you can hear the audio by hovering over the volume icon in the top right.

Check out the video below for more information.
