Are we missing a huge side of the gender equality debate? Does there even need to be one to begin with, aside from equality under the law?
Gender equality, and how to implement it in modern society, has been on people's minds for several decades. We're supposed to want it. I know I do. I can't wait for the day when all humans enjoy eq...

Anti-state messages are beginning to come through into popular culture. It's a sign that minds are changing.
***SPOILER ALERT: Please, do not read any further if you have not completed watching the entirety, including the season finale, of Season 4 of the AMC television show The Walking Dead and you don't...

Green vs. the Rainbow: As if today wasn't camp enough
As for all these gay St. Patrick's Day Parades counter-protests I ask this one thing. Is not the day meant to celebrate Irishness and not sexuality? I don't care about either identification to be frank but why must every organization or public event be the focus of the latest in-vogue civil rights victim of the day [in this case the homosexual lobby groups]? As with the latest winter Olympics [which is supposed to be about sport] I get sort of annoyed at the boorish whinging tots not allowed to carry any banner they want in a completely unrelated event.

I think if the homosexual lobby groups put their energy/money/organisational skills into the plight of their brethren and sisteren in places like the African and Muslim world instead of endlessly boo-hooing on TV about the definition of a word or buying really expensive vodka only to pour it on the street I might have more respect for them. But as they choose to keep it bohemian and pratty, I yawn.

"Stop paying money" is the old libertarian standby.  But in real life we often can, and usually should, have other less disruptive means of resolving conflict.  In this case, the parents complained and the school quickly re-admitted the student and apologized.

Your silence is disturbing. Are you even listening to me? I have a bullhorn, damn it! Don't make me come in there! I feel that our relationship is so one-sided.

Why thanks, it's a pleasure to be here. I came looking for Dr. Carson's full speech, but maybe it isn't posted yet? I plan on listening to Rand Paul and some others. Hey, I see Larry O' Donald is even here? Is he relevant to anyone anymore?
