After a couple of contacts to me for help on Snipe-IT, I thought would not it be great if we started a support group to help each other with Snipe-IT. So here is it is. I hope you join us as I think this could be a powerful group to help take this to the next step in the state and even the country.

Greetings MAEDS friends!

I'm looking for a way to easily create Apple ID's for devices, does anyone have information or tools for this process. Creating them manually is a long and tedious process that I'm looking to avoid.

Is anyone besides myself looking for a good way to physically secure the Asus ChromeBOX? The Kensignton ClickSafe cable is ok but a good wire cutter would quickly take care of that. Comes with a Vesa Mount kit but the displays have no way to mount this on a standard Dell display. Looking for additional security solutions.

Call for Presenters Form for the Fall Conference is now online.

If you can't think of a session you'd like to present on, but can think of one you'd like to hear about, respond here or send a board member an email.  We'll do our best to find a presenter.

Remember, if you present, we waive your entrance fee to the conference.  If your school has a tight budget, the $190 savings just might convince them to let you come!

By request at the Spring PD Day event, I've setup an SCCM community where we can all go to ask questions about all things SCCM.  Click here - and join us!

Special thanks to everyone who attended the Spring PD day on Friday!  I was one of the presenter and I learned a bunch, so I hope it was helpful to everyone else.

I first found this product at a conference in Wisconsin.  Has anyone seen it before and know where I might be able to find one outside this company in Wisconsin?

If you believe Punxsutawney Phil, you know that spring is only a few weeks away.  In reality, what this fat little rodent is actually trying to tell us is that the MAEDS Spring PD day is coming soon!  As we look for the days to get longer and the sun to get hotter, as we start making tee times and planning fishing outings, let’s not forget to register for the MAEDS Spring PD day.

The 2013 Spring PD day will be May 10th.  The event will take place at Lansing Community College Conference Center on the LCC West Campus with live streaming sent to REMC1 in the Upper Peninsula.

Registration and full PD schedule are available on our website at

This year’s PD day will feature a debate-style panel discussion with speakers to represent Microsoft Windows, Google Chrome, Android, and iOS.  In the afternoon, those speakers will have their own room to go into further detail on their respective operating systems.  Also in the afternoon, we will have a session on setting up Microsoft Windows for deployment and then discuss the setup and use of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to handle deployment and management.

Register early – space is limited!
