#teampixel I took these with my Very Silver Pixel XL 128G bought from the Google Online Store. I didn't have my Nikon Coolpix P600 camera with me. But with the Pixel I never missed a pic.

Tips to photographing Stars On Ice figure skating show with a smartphone;

1) Make sure your flash is off to prevent white out of
the picture and to keep your favourite skaters from going blind while skating to keep them safe and
able to continue to skate for you.
2) When focusing your smartphone camera on the shot tap on your
screen where the bright light and dark meet and never on the skater(s) to get the shot as your eyes
see what is on the ice to make sure your skaters don't get washed out.
3) Wait until the skater(s) is (are)
on the side of the ice closest to you.
4) Only zoom in to 60% any closer makes your shot super blurry.
5) Take your time clicking your camera button on your smartphone. Clicking fast gets you more burry
shots.
