Hello BibSonomy team! I am a user of your userbackup java package. Do you plan to publish further versions of it on the Bitbucket repository (I see the development is ongoing), or are we supposed to compile our own from source? If the latter, some instructions would be helpful (I know very little about Java). Thank you for your work! Neven

Thanks +Daniel Zoller ! bibsonomy-userbackup-0.2.0.jar is what I use already, I only was not sure if that was the newest version. Thanks also to +Thomas Niebler for detailed instructions. Best, Neven

As we are about to release a new design for BibSonomy, we would like to show you a bit of the beginnings of our system. When it started out in 2006 the website looked a lot like today and still totally different: The first publication on BibSonomy was also published in 2006 as was the very first ...

A new Scraper for Morgan & Claypool publishers.
This week's feature is presented by our student Haile: The new MorgenClaypoolScraper scrapes publication metadata from Morgan & Claypool Publishers and thereby allows you to easily store that data in BibSonomy. Using the scraper is very easy with the BibSonomy add-on.

This is especially relevant for you, our users, and in particular for everybody who likes to develop new stuff.

Happy hacking!

Today we released some code that was lying around for quite some time: the bibsonomy-post-filter module. I once created it as a quick hack to unify the "address" fields of my publications in #BibSonomy. At the moment it is not well documented but the usage examples in the README give an idea how powerful the tool is. Feel free to extend it!
