On today's meetup we decided that our Github Organization was feeling abandoned :-(

Well today we gave it a new Name/URL "Triangle Code for America"
https://github.com/trianglecodeforamerica

We want to create some sample Apps that allow folks getting started on Civic Hacking

We added two repositories:
https://github.com/trianglecodeforamerica/TODD_leaflet_demo
https://github.com/trianglecodeforamerica/opendata-mobile-apps

I'm concentrating on the mobile apps to be able to have an education session for our next meetup.

Great story about Pittsburgh Open Data Manager.  She was a code for America Fellow last year and now an open data program manager for the city. +Jason Hare +Bonner Gaylord +Gail M. Roper
During his campaign and his first days in office, Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto talked enthusiastically about how data -- big data, open data, performance-based budgeting -- will transform city governance. Now that the rhetorical rubber must hit the road, he has put a face on that initiative: 28-year-old Laura Meixell, whom he hired as the city's first data and analytics manager. Ms. Meixell, a native of Bethlehem, Pa., has applied her savvy with ...

It would be great to get your comments, feedback and thoughts from tonight's Code for Raleigh: Open Data Working Session.

I thought we made a major impact on our city's open data portal.
