You know the gameshow "Jeopardy", where you have to present you answer in the form of a question?

If you are going to link to a site, it should be a blog. If you want to link to your latest and greatest "Ponyfinder Splat Book", make a blog post about it and link the sales site within the blogpost. This is a community about "blogging", not "selling".

Direct sales links will get deleted when I find them.

Nothing personal when I delete said links.

Don't take it personally if I remove your post for spamming your Kickstarter or business - that is not what this community is for.

Apparently folks don't spend a minute or two looking around and reading posts before posting their spam.

This week starts another in the "Adventure Creation" series of posts. I am prepping a game for the Gamex 2016 convention next month, and writing about the progress as it goes from the "Huh, that might work" idea phase to the final printed notes, character sheets, and minis I will use at the table to actually run it.

"Beware the Boogeyman" is the title of the adventure. In it, the six PCs are magical guardians who protect the two children in their charge while they sleep, lest the Boogeyman feed on their fear to increase his own power.

The PCs are a cat (Shadow), a dog (Barkley), an action figure (Soldier Man), a toy dinosaur (Z-Rex), and the childrens' imaginary friends (Tim-Tom Toot, a fluffy monster, and Valorious McMane, a unicorn).

Part 1 is about expanding the original idea out to a playable adventure, and the PCs who can tackle it. Next week in Part 2, possible adventure scenes will be written down and connected, and the characters statted up in GURPS terms.

I hope more peeks at the process continue to help get your own adventures to the table!
Happy GURPSDay! It's once again time to feast on all the GURPS-y Goodness that Thursdays bring. Meanwhile, the Gamex 2016 convention is coming up in just about a month, so I started thinking about what game to run.

Dark Age, Snark Age.

I was inspired by reading Hack & Slash, “On a Light and Dark Age.” I’ve been turning over how factions “gain experience.” One possibility is population growth. As factions gain membership, they advance in level. This would be cool because it means…

Yep, Rifts® for Savage Worlds is set to break some records. It's at over $85k in less than 3 hours of funding. My old group in college had a blast playing Rifts (yes, I'm omitting the "®", fucking sue me Kevin). Heck, my copy...

There aren't as many high-CR aberrations as I'd like in the 5e Monster Manual so I converted some Lovecraftian beasties for my game. Get a look at my 5e gug in a new #WorldBuilderBlog post and let me know what you think! What other aberrations should we add to the game? https://worldbuilderblog.me/2016/04/27/adding-abberations-gug/
Let’s make some more aberrations! A few weeks ago I made the case for needing more high challenge rating aberrations than the ones in the Monster Manual for my soon-to-be-published Exploration Age …

hopefully I am putting this under the right spot...... I am assuming updates would be a good spot for blog posts?

There. Finished rewriting my late night phone post on the Black Candles Society. The long story short version is that Black Candles are entire worlds that when you inhale the smoke transport you elsewhere. But when the candle runs out, that world is on its last day or dead.

I'll be exploring it more as I convert my phone notes to actual blog posts...
The last couple days I have been working on “The Flames Will Die” which I am hoping will be my first big book game to have written and designed all by myself. But I have other game thoughts too, specifically, a spinoff game that uses the same rule system but a bit lighter in weight and ...
