An awesome witchy post by +Dusty Coyote

One of the things I love about Basil(in my practice)is that it is the specific herb of Erzulie. When someone's got alotta negativity in their home, I'll come cleanse and protect their house and property, or I'll give them what they need, with instructions to do it themselves.
The last mix I threw together for this was: Smudge the house with White Desert Sage and Palo Santo, from the back of the house to the front.(and out the front door)It doesn't take much Palo Santo, for it is very potent. I do this aggressively as though I'm sorta' physically kicking something's ass out, lol! I then lay a barrier to keep the "nasty" out.
I like to go around the house/property with a mixture of salt,(cuz it does whatcha say)black pepper(it acts like a fence)and red pepper(it's sorta' like barbed wire)just in case whatever it is, wants to be stubborn. This barrier works quite well. I like to start sprinkling it at the front door or entry point and continue deosil until I'm back at the front door or entry. Hyssop and Rue are a good duo to add to this, if ya want, or they can go into some other aspects of this work.
Afterwards, I wanna replace the energy inside the boundaries with something peaceful. Lavender is a good one to burn for that. Agrimony is one of my favorite protective herbs cuz it's just an all-around "badass" and I like to lay it at the doors and windows. It covers sooo many bases. It can be sprinkled on the threshold or put in a lil bag and hung over the door. The bag can be hung over the bed to keep the "nasties" outta your dreams.
Lastly, the whole reason I got started with this long-winded chatter of mine 😸 is Basil. I like to place her in the doors and windows or throughout the home because it is said that evil cannot exist, where Basil has been.
There's my 3¢ for now. 🐺 Ashe'
