Team No Fender makes my butt wet and dirt y. I'm not happy. :(
(Well, with the exception of the riding part)

A little inspiration for all of us cold weather utility cyclists. . . .

New Year's Resolution: Done!

I commuted to work 52 times this year as of Nov 5! Lately I've been able to bike in twice a week, which has been fantastic. In Dec, I will move to a new building which will reduce my commute from 9 to 7 miles. I wonder if that'll make me bike more (i.e. 3 days a week), or perhaps bike slower so that I don't require a shower, which would be a great time saver. Another option is to switch to an electric scooter or monowheel.

It’s my CX bike’s 3rd birthday. I’m going to give it a mini overhaul.

New bar tape, brake pads, trim the stem and a good clean.

It’s one of those all rounders, I’ve taken it on hilly road rides, off road trails, through floods and (mostly) to work and back.

Silver solder and liquid flux make for a quick, clean cable end without crimps that will never fray (great if you need to pull the brifters and then re-use the same cable). Flux, solder (a little goes a long, long way) wipe with a wet rag to clear the flux, and cut in the middle of the soldered section.
