A trio of educators from Southern Vermont discuss how they're measuring the impact of professional development on tech integration in their 1:1 iPad-based initiative.

Looking for a good Photoshop replacement as we move entirely to Chromebooks next year. We have a few fantastic curriculum pieces that we really want to hold on to. Too few to justify an "Arts Cart" with macs, but they are important enough that we don't want to write them out of the curriculum. We did a trial run with Pixlr, but it seemed a bit glitchy (could have been our inexperience with the tool). Mostly the projects are in 6th & 7th grade, so COPPA compliance and a flexible TOC is a must. Ideas? suggestions?

Hi folks,

I'm reviewing at the latest "made for schools" Chromebook models. This year we went with the Lenovo n21 with varying levels of success (which may be more about our students than the device itself--working on assessing that).

As we gear up for our next round of purchasing we are looking at a few different models including the Dell Chromebook 11 and I'm very curious about the newly launched Asus c202. Does anyone have hands-on experience with either of these models? Or do you think "made for students" moniker really about marketing? Have you seen actual benefits?

So...how are you measuring the effectiveness of your 1:1 initiative(s)? The tangibles. The intangibles. And everything in between...
