LCHF Cheesecake and Brownies at EarthFair Food Market St Georges Mall , Cape Town @lyncupcake

Bakeshop @lyncupcake had a limited supply of delicious LCHF cheesecake and chocolate brownies available today at @earthfairmarket. The market is open until 3pm every Wednesday in Cape Town and most food here won't be found  in any normal retail shop.  The LCHF cheesecake and chocolate brownies are diabetic friendly and non-fattening so anyone can enjoy it. I dare you to tell the difference in flavour between the LCHF and "normal" versions! You can contact @lyncupcake on Twitter to see if there any stock is left.

What about getting Prof Tim Noakes to talk about obesity and the LCHF lifestyle? I heard mention by +Kieno Kammies  talking about fat-free in April as if it is healthy. Tim Noakes has some very interesting views on why this is not helping anyone lose weight. We are being "fed" this marketing by big food companies...

Sunset Hike up Lion's Head in Cape Town

All the years I've been in Cape Town and hiked all over the place, this was my first time up Lion's Head. It was not a difficult hike as about three quarters of the way is a walking path, and only the second third has chains where it is nearly vertical (there is an alternative route that actually avoids the chains) and many families were also on the route. The idea is to go up before sunset on a day around Full Moon time, enjoy the sunset, and then come down. But it is very busy which makes it a bit slower, but also has a great atmosphere and is a lot safer. There were also a lot of tourists who came to do the hike... including some Dutch guys who are carrying a garden gnome everywhere with them. Allow about an hour and a half to get to the top at a relaxed pace.

I mainly used my Galaxy S4 for the photos as well as it capturing the route using the MyTracks app. I used my GoPro action cam for the video shots, and the Google helped out with auto-awesome panoramas and auto-awesome motion shots for the twinkling lights.

What can be done to realistically reduce road deaths?

Are the numbers a reflection of the growing number of motorists, many with poor driving habits.

Are the numbers encouraging given that so many more travel during this period compared to other months even though the deaths each month are similar.

Cold comfort for anyone who lost a friend of family member though. More must be done to reduce the deaths.
