I've been to Yellowstone 29 times I've seen the Tetons maybe 3 or 4 times. I,ve seen old faithful maybe 3 times. Out of the hundreds of people I know in the park, very few come through the tetons if any.
the preservation of the park must come first. Stiff fines for approaching wildlife, with or without camera, and make it illegal to hike in groups of less than 4. Something must be done, the park is at threat. The behavior I saw in my last visit was shocking.
Grand Teton visitors may want to note that the Hermitage Point Trail (http://www.tetonhikingtrails.com/hermitage-point.htm) in the Colter Bay area has been temporarily closed to protect wildlife. There are also temporary closures in effect in and around the Colter Bay Campground area.
