There is a user in my area that is relocating towers away from correct pins (as confirmed by driving around the tower, matching to a registration on antennasearch.com, or confirming location through comparison to other services like Sensorly). Have others run into similar conflicts with other users and is there any way to deter this other than just checking from time to time and moving the affected sites back? Thanks!
In my area I'm usually the only one locating towers. For those I always use FCC data and Google Street View (I'll visually identify it whenever I can physically and look at signal strength on my device to confirm on the Base LTE band since I can band lock) to do so.
I'll usually move the cells again later if I think I'm wrong by looking at the cells/checking updated FCC/cell ID data.
Pei and Ivan or Minh should work together regarding the option for reading the Qualcomm modem as some of my devices will be doing LTE-A on lollipop or marshmallow but will only report frequency of the primary carrier and not acknowledge the second one.
Over the past 24 hours I've contributed / uploaded 1100 data points, with live upload enabled. On the cellmapper.net site it confirms that I've uploaded 1100 data points but none are visible on the map. Any idea what's wrong?
I was trying to use CellMapper (v. 5.0.7) on our Nexus 5x (Android v. 7.0) on Google Project Fi. The app would properly analyze the cell signals but would not record or upload any data. The "Record" and "Upload" icons are red. It had worked before various updates. I've changed the app settings around but have WiFi Auto Upload, Android 4.2 API, GPS age and all the Record data (2G, 3G, 4G) settings checked.
for cellmapping purpose, data connection is not needed :) of course if you want to do other stuff at the same time then you need data :) if there is going to be fix for VoWIFI then we will mention it in changelog(google play), but no ETA.

Today i spend 3h improving CellMapper website login system, now it remeber your location on map when you click on map 'sign in'. Also logoff remember your location on map. Sign in and sign off automatic redirect back to CellMapper Map same location.

Is it worth recording neighbor cell info on a Pixel? Is that data useful (or reported) for mapping purposes? I noticed it's unchecked by default, but I'll start logging it as well if it's used for anything.
I imagine in theory it would allow more accurate mapping of a sector's coverage, but with just the PCI there's obviously some guess work involved.
When multiple cells are displayed, I'm not able to scroll down far enough to see the bottom info without the ad covering up. Could you maybe make it so there is a little extra room at the bottom when scrolling to be able to see that information?
