This VIDEO is spectacular. Bernadette Lancelin is sick of watching money go to illegals while American families struggle in poverty. Like I always say, black voters who support Dems need to wake up and realize they're being played by this President and his party...

Maximizing LinkedIn

LinkedIn is the number one social media site dedicated to business with over 259 million businesspeople worldwide including the top business people. I am one of the Top-Linked people on LinkedIn with over 16,500 connections. As a business person, you need to have a presence there. But what presence do you have and are you making the most of it?

Create a profile. Make sure to complete your profile, including contact info, a summary, specialties including keywords, current and previous employment, volunteer experience and causes, education and additional info including interests, honors and awards received and organizations you’re a member of. Many people, including myself, have our number of connections next to our name. My professional headline includes my title, company name and that I am an open networker or LION, LinkedIn open networker, accepting all invites. Publicizing my large network of connections and that I accept all invites garners me more invites to continue to grow my network. Recommendations establish your credibility. Ask for recommendations from current clients, previous clients and vendors. Endorsing your connections for their top skills will help you get endorsements from your connections for yourself.

Join groups that have members you want to connect with. You can join up to 50 groups. Join 50! Do a group search to find groups in or related to your industry. There’s also groups for open networkers, LIONs and Top-Linked. Check out the group profile for info on the group and how many members it has. You could also create your own group. I created a group for my company, Independent talk 1100 KFNX. You can send messages to all of the members in any of the groups you’re in including bulk messages up to 50 people at a time. Start, comment on and follow  discussions in any group including your own.

Create a company page. Include a summary, specialties including keywords and company info. Follow other companies, influencers and news in yours or related industries. You can also follow schools including your alma mater.

Add connections by sending out invitations to connect. You can search for possible connections including advanced searches using keywords,  level of connection, location, industry, current or past company or school. Bulk invitations can be sent out to all of your current connections in gmail, outlook, yahoo or any email.

Share updates on your home page or any group. Publish your posts so they show up in your connections’ notifications. Share your blog, videos, newsletter, e-zine, whitepapers, e-books and FAQ’s.

Subscribe to the daily email that notifies you of your connections’ accomplishments, birthdays, milestones, news and meetings. I send out daily messages to all, congratulating them on their accomplishments and milestones and wishing them happy birthday.

You can also post and look for jobs. Advertise in the sidebar. And see who viewed your profile and updates. If you upgrade to LinkedIn Premium for a monthly charge, you can see more information on who’s viewed you, send inmail to people you’re not connected to and do even more advanced searches by company size.

Now that you have a presence on LinkedIn and are making the most of it, you can increase the number and quality of your connections and business you receive from them. Look forward to connecting with you on LinkedIn.

Please take time to let me know if there is anything I can do to help you.

Sincerely,

Francis Battaglia

Keys To Successful Video Marketing

Video marketing is one of the best ways today to market your business. You Tube is the second largest social media network to Facebook with more than 1 billion unique users monthly. You tube is the second search engine in the world after Google. Over 6 billion hours of video are watched each month on You Tube. A third of all online activity is spent watching video. 100 hours of video are uploaded to You Tube every minute.  45.4% of internet users view at least 1 video monthly. The average user is exposed to 32.2 videos monthly. 100 million internet users watch video daily. The average user watches 16:49 minutes of video monthly. So what are some of the best ways to market your business using video marketing?

You can create your own videos or curate content using other’s videos. It’s easy to create your own professional, studio quality videos for around $300. A sufficient video camera only costs around $100. You can get an inexpensive stand to set your camera on. For better audio, get an inexpensive microphone to put on your lapel that plugs into the camera. For a better picture, buy professional lighting which only costs around a $100. If memorizing your talk is an issue, write it out and load it into an inexpensive teleprompter for around $100. Pick a nice, appropriate background for the shoot. You could also use a green background to create whatever one you want. Grab their attention in the first 10 seconds to avoid tune-out. Keep the length under 2 to 3 minutes, ideally 30 seconds to 1 minute. Create or curate content that your target market is interested in. Use video analytics  to determine who’s watching your video and for how long. Once you have a video, what’s the best ways to distribute it?

Create your own You Tube channel to upload your videos to. From You Tube, you can share your videos on your other social media sites. Post it on your Facebook and LinkedIn profiles, business pages and groups. Post it on your Google+ profile, business page and community. Tweet it on your personal and business Twitter profiles. Publish it on your blog. Embed it on your website. People stay on websites with video on average 2 minutes longer. Email it to your email database. Emails with video increased open rates by 20% and click-through rates  96% to 300% and reduced opt-outs by 75%.You could also upload, share, publish, embed or email other’s videos. Subscribe to other’s You Tube channels on your You Tube channel.

Video marketing is one of the best things you can do to improve the SEO of your videos and website. You Tube is owned by Google. All videos you upload to You Tube are indexed by Google. Keywords improve the video’s SEO. Title the videos using keywords. Use keywords in the description. Add keywords and categories to the videos. Publishing videos on your blog creates more pages on your website that are indexed by Google, improving your site’s SEO. Embedding the videos on your website improves your site’s SEO. Your website is 50 times more likely to appear on the first page of a search if it includes video. Google owns Google+. Sharing your videos on your Google+ profile, business page and community increases your video’s SEO.

Video marketing is one of the best ways to get your message out to your target market. More people are watching and prefer video. There are more ways to distribute video.  And, its easy to do! Do you need any more good reasons to do video? I didn’t think so. I look forward to watching your videos.

Sincerely,

Francis Battaglia

The Importance Of Content Marketing

Today, its about content marketing. Content marketing is providing relevant, useful  information to people interested in what you have to offer, how and when they want it. Through the internet, people can get whatever information they want, how and when they want it. People are bombarded with over 5,000 messages a day! If you don’t provide relevant, useful information, how and when people want it, they will tune you out. First, you need to determine who is interested in your information. Second, what are they interested? Third, how to deliver it to them?

First, you need to determine your target market. What demographics make up your target market? Who is interested in what you offer? Who wants or needs what you’re offering? Where are they located? What is their gender, age, education, income level, interests, etc.

Second, you need to determine what they’re interested in. You can do a keyword  search or use Google ad words. This will determine your content. What do they want and need? What problems do they have that you can solve. What pain do they have that you can alleviate? What questions do they have? What can you educate them about? How can you entertain them?

Third, how can reach them? What are the different channels that you can use to deliver your message to them? What channels do they use? There are innumerable channels to disseminate information. Traditional advertising channels, radio, tv and print, can be used to distribute content. What radio stations do they listen to? You could host your own talk show, guest on a talk show or do a short-form feature of 2-3 minutes. What tv stations do they watch? You could do an infomercial. What publications do they read? You could run an advertorial.  Most people use email. Build an email database by getting people to opt-in to your email list. Offer something to get them to opt-in. Offer your  blog, newsletter, specials, ebook, whitepaper or e-zine. Ask people you meet through networking. Have an opt-in button on your website homepage. Have a subscribe button on your blog. Use Infusionsoft, Constant Contact or Mail Chimp to send out your emails.  You could also provide this information on your website. Optimize your website for SEO with keywords, links and backlinks, embedded videos and blogs so people will find your site though Google searches. Most people use Social Media. What channels do they use? Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram. Create a profile, business page, group, community and channel. Post, share, tweet, retweet, pin, repin, upload  videos and promote your blog. Respond to and comment on people’s posts, shares, tweets, pins, videos and blogs. Use keywords and hashtags. Most people prefer watching videos over reading. Produce your own videos. Upload them to your YouTube channel, embed them on your website, publish them on your blog, email them to your email database and upload them to your social media sites. Write a blog. Send out your blog through email and your social media sites. What networking events do they attend? Distribute your brochure,  newsletter and  whitepaper through networking events. Speak at Networking events.

As you can see, there is a lot to do for content marketing. That’s what we need to do today to get our message to our target market and increase our results. What are you doing?

Please take time to let me know if there is anything I can do to help you.

Francis Battaglia
