I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jon Morris and I am the assist DCS Communications for Training at North Central Region. I have been in CAP for 50 years starting as a Cadet in LIncoln, Nebraska. After I retired
from law enforcement, we moved from the Lincoln area to Rolla, Mo.

I have an HF and VHF station active on the National Traffic Net and NCR Nets call sign NorthCentral41. My direct email address is northcentral41@gmail.com and I normally monitor the Ft. Wood VHF Repeater on R60.

If you are a radio communicator now or wish to know more about radio communications feel free to contact me or the MOWG DC Steve Vogt. If you do not have Steve Vogt's email, contact me and I will pass it on.

Today (Saturday 10-15-16) we are working with SDWG on their communications exercise on HF.

We also have a CAP MEMBER ONLY, communications group on google. It has about 110 members from all over the U.S. all the way from National HQ, to squadron communications officers. It is closed and requires an invitation to join. Contact me direct for that info.

Good Day.

This book literally started off with a "bang". As I have said in other reviews I am always skeptical of new post-apocalyptic fiction. I was pleasantly surprised and entertained thought out the book. I know this sounds a bit silly, but I really like that they had characters in the book that weren't young and fit and of military origin. Since I am over 50 years old, I like it when writers use our experience and knowledge to educate the young. If an "event" were to happen, a large number of the population is over 50. Characters were multi dimensional and had flaws, a plus for the readers. Scenario was realistic. Living in hot and dry California, I swear I could feel the hot, dusty weather leap off the pages. I was very entertained and it kept my interest to the point that I finished it in 2 days. I look forward to the next installment.
