Just wanted folks in this group to know that I have just been hired as the new Executive Director for NCAAHPERD-SM. While it is a part-time position, I will be 100% involved in creating a new vision regarding how we can more actively promote the value of K-12 health & physical education across North Carolina. Please feel free to visit our refreshed website as time permits. > http://www.ncaahperd-sm.org/

We're delighted to announce that we've just added a brand new Physical Literacy resource to the PE Scholar store entitled 'Physical Literacy: A Guide for Educators'.

This is an essential read for anyone trying to understand physical literacy in more detail and for those seeking to embed it within their educational practice.

This text is full of practical examples of how physical literacy can be embedded within schools, and provides teachers with a clear description of what physical literacy looks like in practice. It contains an accessible overview of the concept of physical literacy, as well as practical recommendations for constructing physical literacy informed lessons, extra-curricular and enrichment activities.

I will soon be teaching hula hoop skills to my primary grade students. I have task cards and have looked at some online sites for creative tasks. After twelve years I'm starting to run out of resources and new challenges. Does anyone know of any resource(s) or have any hoop challenges they'd like to share?
