Majority of us are city drivers, and many urban dwellers ride bicycles, right? What happens when it rains or becomes too dark to ride? Uber should compete with bike rental firms, and allow partners to advertise their ability to transport rider's bikes!
I, myself, have invested over $500 to install a fixed bike rack, and it would be such a relief to be able to utilize it more than the occasional personal trip to the state park. I know there are people out there installing kayak racks, rooftop boxes, and all kinds of equipment carriers. You never know what people might want to take to the beach or to the train station.
This will expand Uber and differentiate drivers more.
