Read about Todd Tanner. Todd Tanner isn't just angling for fish, he's angling for ways for hunters and anglers to care about climate change, as much as he does. He's one of the fly fishing tribe and his unconventional methods just might be able to help, because he's giving a part of himself that just might be wanted.

A biologist by the name of Jack Lentfer has been working on protecting polar bears in the Arctic region since the 1970s ----- Alaska, geopolitics and climate change are in the news and not because of Sarah Palin. Besides, if you’ve been on social media, you may have recently seen photos circulating of skinny malnourished polar bears standing on shrinking summer ice. Bear with me (pun intended), if you’re a Johnny Depp fan, like I am, you may also have seen one of his quotes making the rounds, “If you don’t like seeing pictures of violence towards animals being posted, you need to help stop the violence, not the pictures.” Photos of the malnourished polar bears standing on decreasing ice patches, scientific evidence and ongoing activism shining its light on the issues that seem to “bother” people and won’t go away, bring to mind leaving a slow-leaking gas stove in a house full of animals. It’s violence by silence. We’re watching how the animals are behaving and how the environment is affecting them, but we’re getting more upset that we know about it. ‪#‎polarbears‬ ‪#‎Arctic‬ https://writingclimatechangebackintohistory.wordpress.com/biologist/

Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving and enjoyed every bite!!!
22 days left on our indiegogo "Writing Climate Change Back into History" project.

I know that you care about climate change mitigation and adaptation and would love to be able to have access to great bios and projects by conservationists all over the world. We can make that happen with our new project - watch the slide presentation and read about it at the link below.

http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/565979/emal/3847209

I'd love your support on this! I think by collaborating and bringing together our community through these kinds of projects we will facilitate each of our needs to encourage spreading the news about positive efforts to restore our climate. Don't you?

Take a moment to check it out on Indiegogo and also share it with your friends. All the tools are there. Get perks for your contribution. If enough of us get behind it, we can make 'Writing Climate Change Back into History crowdfunding documentation project' happen!

Thank you!!!! I hope to earn your support for this Santa Rosa based project to reach success!

Cheers, Maria

Thanks you everyone, thanks to you, in one week, our website has over 450 views! Thank you so much!

Another essay:

-A. Jones

Its important to take care of the Earth because we need it to live. Everything we have been through, none of it would have happened if not for Earth.

I think that is really important for us to know to be a little bit more considerate about the Earth because now that we have luxuries, we are starting to forget that we do have duties. And one important duty is taking care of the Earth. So some important ways to take care of the Earth is by recycling and reusing certain material. If you use a plastic bag for a sandwhich one day use it again, or if you have a plastic bottle filled with juice, use that bottle again. You could also do some community service like picking trash at the park or on the side of the road. We can do it together. Let's go Global 8.

We had highschooler get involved with global warming by asking them to write essays about it. Here are some. There are pictures as proof.

Meanwhile here is one of their essays:

-Robert P.

This world is ours. It will be inherited by us when our forefathers are dust. We must stand up to protect this planet or else we'll have to pick up all the pieces when it all falls apart. If we don't stop, or at least get in between the devastation of entire forests, then life systems dependent on them will die out. It is our responsibility as self-aware, self-proclaiming "rulers" or "masters" of this planet to ensure life everything on it. If we taint the water, what will we drink? If we cloud the air, what will we breathe? Every negative action we do to the environment is reflected on ourselves. If we destroy the planet, we destroy us. Older people may not care, they underestimate the damage they cause, and overestimate just how big this planet is. This is why we, the youth, the inheritors of this world, must stand to protect it. It is what we are left with, and we are all it's left with.
