First time I try editing someone else's image :)

My processing with ribbet.com as far as I remember:
1 crop
2 exposure
3 colours (checked, not changed)
4 rotate (the sign and window lines bothered me)
5 infrared
6 matte
7 vignette

Warm thank you all for participating PPC

19 high class submissions is not bad thinking of how inactive we have been lately. If you still feel that you want to contribute current PPC, please go ahead. It's also not a crime to upload your version a few days too late if you have problems with your time.

Thank you all for participating!

Here is my contribution to the PPC 01/2014. I only exported raw -> jpg.... and then I might have;
- Replaced a few pixels to remove all except one person
- Added clarity, saturation etc. (normal picture editing)
- Used Nik Color Efex Pro 4 to add some fog (thanks for idea Mika) and detail extractor
- Then I added light rays for the big street lamps
- Finally some minor cropping and vignetting
- Now I need some ice for my hand...

Photo Processing Challenge 1/2014

The winter in Finland has been horrible. No snow and the last week it has been in practice above zero degrees all the time - which means that I've been too lazy to shoot anything reasonable. That's why I had to borrow a photo for this PPC from my friend Mikko Wynne-Ellis, thanks Mikko!

The photo is from the capital of Finland, Helsinki. It's a railway station entrance and as you can see, it really doesn't look like winter here.

Anyway, PPC is still business as usual - process the photo as you wish. Perhaps you can make it look like winter, perhaps just remove people or add some elements. It's also possible that you just use your best skills to post-process the photo just the way you do. It's all up to you!

As usual, we have 2 versions, .DNG for better quality and .JPG for those who have problems with reading / processing DNG versions. You have one week to upload your versions to our community, please upload the images to the correct folder. After uploading, we'd appreciate if you spend a minute explaining how you did your version. It would be nice to learn something new.

Several color adjustments in Picasa. In Paint Shop Pro: added stoneman CC BY Jennifer Boyer and swooshed some poor people to his lamp.
