HyperDocs - YouTube Live Event, Friday, December 24, 1PM EST

A HyperDoc is an interactive Google Doc/Sheet/Slide (or other tool) that uses hyperlinking (images, videos, files, websites, etc.) to create an engaging and innovative learning experience for students. Learn how to create a lesson that provides ALL students opportunities to engage, explore, explain, apply, share, reflect, and extend their learning by providing them "voice and choice" to support their own learning. This session will provide you with some background and tools to begin creating the framework of a HyperDoc using Google Docs/Slides.

Please join the VSTE Virtual Environments PLN in Second Life for a special presentation!

On October 20, 2016, our own Dr. Greg Perrier presented "Lessons Learned from Seven Years Teaching in SL" at VWER (the Virtual Worlds Education Roundtable) in Second Life. Tonight we're going to watch the recording made of that presentation. Although Greg cannot be there for the beginning of the meeting, he is hoping to join us by the end for discussion.

Please join us at the VSTE Island Central Meeting Point in Second Life

"Are Students Truly Learning?" created a lot of good conversation regarding the issues that educators see with using technology in the classroom.
I'm so glad I presented this session, and overjoyed that the attendees took part in sharing strategies they have used in the classroom.

With the combination of aging schools and a desire to implement 21st century learning has led many teachers to think of ways to update their classrooms without major renovations. My session "Transforming 20th Century Classrooms into Learning Labs" focused on these simple tips and strategies.
