The Apocalyptic Raids album by Switzerland black/death metal band, Hellhammer is an extreme metal classic. They were a big influence on many of the modern, existing, and black/death metal bands. The band existed from 1982–1984. The Apocalyptic Raids album was originally a 4 song EP, which was released in 1984. The album has since been reissued in 1990 with 2 bonus tracks taken from the death metal sampler split. Hellhammer had two songs on that sampler along with other bands, Helloween, Dark Avenger, and Running Wild. Tom G. Warrior and Martin Ain formed Celtic Frost after this band dissolved.

Legion is Deicide’s second full-length album that was released in 1992 by Roadrunner Records. Legion is probably Deicide’s best album in my opinion. The self-titled debut was no slouch, but I think the follow-up is even better. Just like their debut Deicide continues the same formula with their anti-christian and satanic themes in the lyrics. The brutal and evil sounding atmosphere has been turned up ten fold.

They have been around since 1987 and at that time they were first known as Amon. In that year they recorded and released their 8-track demo called “Feasting the Beast”. Two years later in 1989 they released their second demo called “Sacrificial”. Both of those demos are now available on a compilation album called Amon: Feasting the Beast. Manson!!!

Serpent Sermon is the 2012 full-length album by Swedish Black Metal band Marduk. Serpent Sermon has 10 songs with a running time of 46:22. It was released under the label, Century Media Records.
