"How many people go bankrupt because of medical bills? In Britain, zero. In France, zero. In Japan, Germany, the Netherlands, Canada, Switzerland, zero.

In the United States, according to a joint study by Harvard Law School and Harvard Medical School, the annual figure is around 700,000."

Congratulations to Colorado Sen. Irene Aguilar, M.D.!

Sen. Aguilar was awarded the Dr. Nathan Davis Award for Outstanding Government Service by the American Medical Association.

Sen. Aguilar, a major force behind Amendment 69, ColoradoCare and a primary care physician, helped to enact the state's first body of law to standardize prior authorization of medications and helped pass legislation to fund the work of the Colorado Clean Claims Taskforce.

We all know ColoradoCare will save Coloradans $4.5 Billion every year.

But did you know that if Amendment 69 passes, when Bob switches from the cheapest current plan to ColoradoCare, he will save $1032 - $6032 annually for increased coverage?!

ALSO - if Amendment 69 passes, when Bob shifts from a comparable current plan to ColoradoCare, he will save anywhere from $4092 - $5342 every year.*

*These numbers are based on monthly costs and depend on how much of his deductible Bob has to pay
