I use mind mapping to write down different ideas while being able to see the whole picture. It is tremendously helpful for clinical #SocialWork and it's great for visual learners! It is tremendously helpful for clinical #SocialWork, especially when analyzing a very complex problem. Check out how I use mindmaps!

StudyBlue is a great app for improving your learning in #socialwork practice. I'm using it for that and it helped me get a job. Check out my review! (featuring +Dorlee Michaeli)

Hello,

My name is Sean Cho, a research assistant of Dr. Bum Jung Kim, an Assistant Professor in the Myron B. Thompson School of Social Work at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He is also a "Ha Kupuna" member along with Dr. Colette Browne, Dr. Kathryn Braun, and Noreen Mokuau.

Dr. Kim and the team have developed a research project on "factors associated with burnout/turnover among professionals in long-term care settings for the seniors."
I am writing because we are recruiting survey participants for this survey. Both your participation as an individual and as your agency are highly appreciated.  Your help/advice would be very much appreciated.

The eligibility of the survey participation are professionals who:
• Directly work for older adults in long-term care settings and,
• Work in Hawaii (all islands are included),
• Care workers for older adults, e.g., social workers, nurses, assistants, care workers
o Those who do not work directly with the seniors, such as administrators are excluded.
o Internship is excluded from the criteria of the professional.
• Both paid and unpaid employment are included.
• Both full-time and part-time included.
• Professionals only can participate (professionals who attend a school can participate but students are not employed as a professional cannot be participate)

Participation in this study is completely voluntary. The survey has 25 questions, which will take about 30 minutes to complete. We will issue $10 gift card to participants. We normally implement the survey by postal mail but we are flexible in making arrangement for the survey in a way that works for your agency setting. Participants will not be identified when we are compiling the data.

This is a cross-national study encompassing Japan, S. Korea, USA (Hawaii) to build up a strong environment and work settings for professionals working for older people. If you have any questions about this survey, please reply to seancho@hawaii.edu.

Thank you for your time.
Mahalo,
Sean Cho
