I think it's spaghetti for dinner tonight, one thing is for certain it won't taste nearly as good as that did.

This is my boy at the 400 year old oven of Forno Antica in Altamura, Puglia. It is one of the oldest bakeries producing the famous Altamura Bread. This bread will last for weeks and has an hearty crust and rich flavor. The Owner Vito Marcello invited us for a "tasting" which turned out to be one of the best meals we had in all of our three weeks in Italy last October.

I am on a quest to find a recipe for Altamura bread that I can make at home (I'm a great pizza maker and fairly good bread baker). Anyone got one?

Happy Mardi Gras! The definitive guide to a perfect Venice Carnival.

http://deadchefdc.blogspot.com/2015/02/venice-carnival-frittelle-galani-mardi-gras.html
Today is Mardi Gras, which is the day of the year I traditionally spend sobbing in my pajamas because of homesickness. The reason? In Venice, today is the end of Carnevale ("Carnival" in English, if you seriously need a translation), my favorite celebration of all, and the one I miss the most ...

Italians love coffee. Actually Italians love food in general, and after a weekend in Italy’s “belly button”, it’s food-driven region of Emila Romagna, I have plenty to share with you on their passion for food. But for now I want to explore coffee in Italy.
