Question about LED lighting.

I would like to buy LED tape without a coating or rubber sheath, so I can glue it to a heat sink.

There are grow light tape such as this:
https://www.amazon.com/Lights-SOLMORE-SMD5050-Waterproof-Spectrum/dp/B00WJZ0LNA/ref=pd_sim_86_2

and there is universal light tape such as this
https://www.amazon.com/Flexible-Non-waterproof-Christmas-Decoration-Daylight/dp/B00HSF65MC/ref=pd_sim_60_2

The universal light is about half the price, but it is about 5W per meter, while the grow lights are 12W per meter.

So, obviously the price comes out as basically a bust, as you need two meters of universal for every one meter of growlight. To me, that means the light gets spread out better, but other than that, the cons are that there is more work to set up (double), double the heat sink if I want to jam more power through it, and I have to program the universal to be the right color, and likely this would reduce their total output even more..

So I guess I talked myself into getting the grow lights, not the universal.

Went to the nursery looking for fodder seed and we ended up grabbing some kale and pak choi... Also moved some seedlings from the float bed. By the way no rain today just sunshine. ☀

Started germinating seeds for my small hydroponic unit. I am using an IKEA unit I bought last year, but decided to test it with the kitchen air filter units I bought at the Euro shop instead of the Stonewool. Last time I tried, they worked pretty good for just a few seeds, so this time I am using it for a much larger numbers.

Starting with 2 type of lettuce together with Dill and Parsely. Will add strawberries and Tomatoes later in the spring.

The wall is up and running smoothly. Last night we planted seeds. Butter lettuce, spinach garlic chives and some red clover sprouts. Took two trans plants of mint to continue with deterring rodents. Also thri a sage in there.
