23 days ago I started Paleo after being out of the hospital for about two weeks. I came across a testimonial of someone who swore by it after suffering what I was suffering, ulcerative colitis.

I had it extremely bad. A month of bleeding and diarrhea and a 30 lb weight drop finally ended in an 8 day stay in a hospital with never ending major steroids, iron, and antibiotics. Plus a flush prep and a colonoscopy to show that my large intestine was 95% closed off.

In 5 to 10 years, my Dr. said that they most likely would have to remove my colon.

I left the hospital on more drugs and a low residue diet, consisting of white everything after the hospital, which only aggravated my condition. But I held on and never stopped trying to understand. I thought I was healthy before this.

That's when I discovered the paleo solutiin, by Robb Wolf. I read his book cover to cover, forwards and back, upside down and inside out.

Here I am 23 days later. I'm gaining muscle. My blood pressure is 119/79. My BMI is 24.07. I am drug free. I am symptom free, blood free, and pain free.

Paleo is not a diet to me. It is not a weight loss gimmick or a fad. This is my life and a journey. I know there are naysayers and such, but I cannot argue with results, or facts.

Knowledge and understanding of what paleo is vs. what we have been fed from child hood concerning health has revolutionized my life.

I just wanted to share this small experience with you all.
