Many homeowners who have older central air conditioning systems that use #R-22 Refrigerant (Freon), can be expecting to pay much higher prices for recharges this year.

If your system needs to be charged, it has a leak! Our recommendation is that the leak be located and repaired before anymore refrigerant is added. If the system is still using #R-22 Refrigerant, we highly recommend replacing the old components and upgrading to a system that is using the new #R-410a environmentally friendly refrigerant.

Read this great article on Angie's List for more information about the new changes and prices.
