How can I
How can I learn? If I do not learn from you?
If I can learn, I will learn from you, God.
How can I admire? If I do not admire you?
If I can admire, I will admire you, Lord.
How can I serve? If I do not serve you?
If I can serve, I will serve you, my God.
How can I fear? If I cannot fear you?
If I do fear, I will fear you, oh God.
How can I love? If I do not love you?
If I do love, I will love you, my Savior.
Is it because man is a deceiver, he says: "there is more than God". Is it because all men are deceived? They can "love", "admire", "serve", "fear", and "learn", but only God, who is the foundation and upholder of everything, can be the beginning and the ending of our everything.
God is the beginning and we can only love in Him, and fear in Him, and learn in Him, and worship in Him, and serve in Him, because He is the fullness of all. The Bible says we are in the world of the dead, and these are those who have their "life" in the absence of God, they do not begin to live though they are already dead, and "How can you live" if God is life, apart from God? If you can love, and not love God, if you can fear, and not fear God, how can you? for God is the prime being worthy of your affections, and they begin in Him. Why else do we have memory, but so we could remember God, and to whom else is the beginning of affection, to God whom is most worthy of them. If you can live, then live in God, if you can learn, learn from God, if you can love, love God, for God is the beginning.
