This is my review on GuitarTricks (video included), a website that offers an online guitar lessons program. I go over all the different features and tools available inside, what the service is all about, what they do offer and don't, give my own opinion, recommended or not, and why. I leave it to you to decide. Would love to hear all kinds of feedback, especially from existing or past members of GuitarTricks, to learn from their experience. If you liked the review and think it was informative, helpful and unbiased, please support by liking, commenting (preferably inside the review), and sharing. Thanks and good luck!

Release of their first album was in March 1974!! Band members Geddy Lee on bass & killer vocals, Alex Lifeson #GuitarGod on guitar & Neil Peart on badazz drums!! "RUSH" are FINALLY inducted into the RocknRoll Hall of Fame 2013! A career spanning over 40 years!! KICKAXE CANADIAN BAND!!! ♫♪ "RUSH" ♫♪

After a mega cool intro - members of the Foo Fighters perform a cover of 2112's "Overture" complete with white spandex outfits and wigs..haha :) RUSH then took the stage for a mega SMOKIN HOT performance of "Tom Sawyer" & "Spirit of the Radio"!!

Geddy Lee Weinrib, (born Gary Lee Weinrib; July 29, 1953), known professionally as Geddy Lee, is a Canadian musician, singer and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist, bassist, and keyboardist for the Canadian rock group Rush. Lee joined what would become Rush in September 1968, at the request of his childhood friend Alex Lifeson! Lee's first solo effort, My Favourite Headache, was released in 2000.

Lee is an award-winning musician, his style, technique, and skill on the bass guitar have inspired many rock musicians!! Along with his Rush bandmates – guitarist Alex Lifeson and drummer Neil Peart – Lee was made an Officer of the Order of Canada on May 9, 1996. The trio was the first rock band to be so honoured, as a group. Lee is ranked 13th by Hit Parader on their list of the 100 Greatest Heavy Metal vocalists of all time.

10 arpeggios over a Maj7 chord

It is often difficult to keep coming up with fresh ideas for solos and not play the same lines all the time. Looking for new arpeggios is a great way to expand on your vocabulary for lines. It is important that we always keep developing new options and solid melodies that we can apply to the chords that we solo over.

You can download a PDF and read the article on my blog via this link:

Hope you like it!

+Carlos Zapata's photos of his custom pedal board inspired me to post a couple of my own board, which I recently built and took for its maiden flight at a gig last weekend.

The top shelf holds my basic pedals and is removable. I can take it alone to a gig with my Deluxe Reverb or even my Champ, and I've got all my core tones. For more elaborate gigs I'll take the whole setup, running most of the pedals in the effects loop of my Hot Rod Deluxe. I've got a three-cable snake (running off the top of the first image) that runs to the preamp input and the effects send/return of the HDD, so setup and breakdown are pretty fast.

For portability, the top shelf comes off and mounts upside-down on a couple of supports in my road case. It then acts as a support to hold the main board in place during transit.

I haven't routed any cables under the board yet, but that might come next. I'm treating this board as a prototype, and once I've settled on a good design I might rebuild it.

Thanks, +Carlos Zapata. I'm pretty pleased with the results so far. I'm not sure how the 1/2" plywood is going to hold up, but I wanted to keep it as light as possible to start out.

It's funny, but the arrangement in the case was a lucky accident. I had already planned out the two-tiered system for ease of changing configurations, but when I picked up the travel case, I found that it was just a hair too shallow to allow me to store the two tiers side-by-side as I'd intended. I came up with the idea of turning the upper tier sideways and making the supports to hold it like that, and it all worked out even better than if they'd just been in there loose.

A closeup of my Pedal board, both topside & underneath. I built this myself. I still need to a add another Pedal Power that provides 18v isolated power to 4 of my pedals. :-)
