What makes a good community post?

Local Guides love to share what makes a place special, whether it's in their neighborhood or someplace they've discovered while exploring the world. We want to share a few tips with you for sharing posts in this community — and beyond – that will help improve the experience for everyone.

— Make it relevant. Your post should relate to Local Guides, Google Maps or travel. It doesn't always have to be about what you've discovered but it should be relevant to Local Guides and the community in which you're posting.
— Add a photo. Did you know that posts with photos are 100% more interesting than posts without photos? Just be sure you have taken the photo yourself and you have permission of the people featured in the image.
— Tell us about it. Add a description to your post telling us what makes it relevant and interesting to Local Guides around the world. Adding context to your experiences make them more real.
— Less is more. There are a lot of people in this community so don't share multiple posts in a row and allow others an opportunity to post.
— Don't promote. Per the community (and program) guidelines, promotional posts of any kind are prohibited. Links to your blogs are ok from time to time, but if you are really passionate about a place you discovered or visited, consider sharing your review in the community.

Happy posting!
