Big Anjaneya idol on the top of Dari Anjaneya Swamy Temple is located at Yeshwanthpur (sometimes Yeshwanthpura) sub locality of Bangalore city belongs to Bangalore district in the Indian state of Karnataka.
It is situated near Yeshwanthpur Circle Flyover in Subedarpalya area of Yeshwanthpur neighbourhood of Bangalore city.
Yeshwanthpur is a sub locality in the north western part of Bengaluru city. It is situated about 6 kms from the Bangalore city railway station.
Yeshwanthpur is located to the north of Malleswara and west of Hebbal. The biggest wholesale market of agricultural produce in the city, the Yeshwanthpur APMC Yard, is situated in Yeshwanthpur.
Yesvantpur Junction railway station is a major railway terminal of south western railway connecting to major rail heads in the country.
Historical monuments in Bangalore:-
(1) BANGALORE FORT originally built in 1537 AD. It is located next to the Victoria Hospital Gate in the K.R. Market area.
(2) TIPU SULTAN’S SUMMER PALACE was built in 1791, is a two-storied ornate wooden structure with exquisitely carved pillars, arches and balconies. It houses a museum that contains artifacts relating to the Hyder-Tipu regime.
(3) BANGALORE PALACE (1862) is located near Mekhri Circle and Cantonment Railway station, built to look like a smaller replica of the Windsor Castle in England.
(4) MAYO HALL was designed in memory of the Lord Mayo and is regarded as one of the finest designs of British architecture.
