This was a blog post that I wanted to share on my blog, but I felt having the title and the blog link on this main page would save a step and get you more quickly to the direct source.  This post is amazing, and one to really stop and process.  This is NOT just for parents, it is for all of us.  We process events and situations through our own, very limited, filters every single day, and yet there is an entire iceberg below the surface that we probably are never even considering.  Please stop and take a moment to read this post.  Hopefully it will change the way we think about our reactions to scenarios we witness every day.

My girls have eczema, and I was tired of the creams only working for a while.  I started to use virgin coconut oil...and my 6 yr old has fewer flare ups in her regular affected areas. When the flare up do come...I hit em with coconut oil and i promise you it takes about a day in a half for it to go away completely.  Love #coconutoil  you can get it at different health places or online too.  I know a place online where you get all your supplements and get a percentage in cash back. :-)  Hope that was useful to anyone who is dealing with this.

Chances are you're probably not in the market for a free printable five month old feeding chart and sleep schedule =) , just in case you are........

The Best 5 Month Old Feeding Chart I Ever Did See. And I Love It.

You wake up to whiffs of diapers that would put elephants to shame, demands for breakfast by three year old firecrackers, and armpits in desperate need of some Secret Clinical Strength lovin’…..or maybe that’s just me???

When the swirling chaos of the morning is crashing down on you, it’s difficult to remember if you’ve brushed your teeth, much less just how much rice cereal is appropriate for a 5 month old.

Sleep deprived mama, check out the full post for your FREE PRINTABLE 5 month old feeding chart and sleep schedule!

+Lauren Heimann That is a fantastic article that I am totally on board with! In fact at our last check-up, the pediatrician kept telling me over and over how much I needed to focus on eating a wide variety of nutrient-dense foods since we're exclusively breastfeeding until 6 months.

I'm planning on writing another post somewhat similar to the one above for 6 month olds so thank you for the reminder that we all need to focus on real foods instead of the processed stuff!

What if your newborn's risk of SIDS could be identified pretty much at birth... by a simple hearing test? Could this really be the answer?

Moms, aren't you always looking for good kids' books? Here are two excellent choices, one about the historical St. Nicholas and the other about two children who lived through the concentration camps of World War II -- a German Jew and a Polish Catholic. Both books are very worth it!
Since my children's school only assigned a grand total of eighteen books for my six kids to read over the summer, I decided to add a few more unassigned kids' books to my reading list this summer. Hah! If your local school is...

I let Kai watch Barbie and Bratz once.
And then had to deal with my 4 year old thinking she's fat.
We made it through that and she now knows that she's perfect how she is.
The whole thing though has taught me to love myself more and not focus on what I don't like, and to be a better figure for Kai.
To show her as long as you're active and eat well it doesn't matter how you're built.
Barbie has officially been banned from our house until further notice. Mainly the cartoon and movies but right now I could care less if Kai ever plays with the dolls either. The other day as a reward for good behavior and sin...
