Kain is a highly sophisticated, intellectual man who's demeanour is offset by his sinister appearance. Presumably of highborn Italian heritage, he's very proper and linguistic in multiple languages. Often reciting William Shakespeare and C.S Lewis quotes when monologuing, he loves to be mellow dramatic and over-the-top whenever he's in combat or just talking to himself. Never one to be looked like a commoner, he wears lavish clothing that's dynamic and unique to him. Anything that's striking to catch the eye of anyone, he'll wear with dignity rather then remain inconspicuous since he's a vampire. Given his lineage to a well known baron of the wealthiest province in Nosgoth, he is pompous and indignant towards weakness and poverty. Yet still has a high sense of honour and will gladly take one a hoard of guardsmen solo, or their captain in a duel to the death. Despite everything he's gone through, he's a nobleman at heart and will never tell a lie even if it would benefit him in the long run.

Throughout his long and unpredictable life, he's acquired an incredible amount of knowledge from the centuries traveling Nosgoth. Even before he was turned, he had extensive knowledge on swordsmanship, linguistic skills, map reading, survivalist skills, entrepreneurism, bartering, laws of physics, magic, history and even forgotten vampiric lore. As a vampire, these small skills have turned him into the infamous mass murderer he is now. He has a photographic memory, centuries old wisdom of dark arts/spells/summoning/banishment, learning and mastering the secrets of time and fate to utilise for himself, gaining supernatural wisdom from the ancient tomes, forges, chapels, caves, citadels, libraries and spirits of the dead. There's not much Kain doesn't know. Having seen and altered the currents of time itself, he's far seeing then most mortals could ever have hoped to be. With the absorption of his surrogate son Raziel's soul however, he gains omniscience to see all that he was blind too and all that will come to pass.
