Paradise Beach, true to its name, is an unexploited heaven in the outskirts of Pondicherry. A ferry takes you to the island beach from the mainland. The waters are pristine blue, the sand does not cling to your feet and there are lines of oak trees to save you from the sun.

Unlike the traditional wildlife safaris where they take you out in an open jeep, this one is really different.

The forest guide takes you on a long trek in the jungle that ends at this lake. On the lake, they have non polluting bamboo rafts on which they take you in the interiors of jungle. And you spot the birds and wild tuskers in close proximity without disturbing them.

On the way to one of the highest lakes of the world...Guru Dongmar.

The lake gets frozen in the winters and what remains is a huge chunk of ice like a glacier.

The drive to the lake from Lachen can easily qualify as one of the best drives in the world.

If you are searching for a "Hippie town" in the southern part of India, head straight to Hampi. Tungabhadra river divides the town into two parts- one is a temple town with the relics of ancient temples while the other is a "Hippie town" with lots of homestays, resorts and amazing cafes. Hire a scooter and explore the town or climb up a rock to see the sunset or roll up and do nothing.

This town will let you discover yourself.

Triund trek, is a six hour trek, from McLeodganj.

The trek takes you through patches of mud, snow and rocks. You pant, you stop, you admire the majesty of Himalayas. The views are spectacular from the top. The Dhauladhar range of Himalayas surround you from all sides.

And if you are lucky enough, the mornings will greet you with snowfall.

An unexplored paradise called the Kapu beach lies in the outskirts of Mangalore. With hardly any visitors, the beach has been able to retain its pristine form. The fighing eagles give you company while fishing. The Watch Tower forms a perfect background for the pics.

One of the few surviving "Living Forts" of the country- Jaisalmer Fort. The fort houses an entire city- homes, shops, cafes and temples.

The Jain temple inside the fort is known for its exquisite architecture and the flags around it add to the vibrant vibe sin the temple.

One of the most romantic cities that i have ever visited- Udaipur. Lake Pichola houses several kothis on its banks and they can be your perfect resting place. Stop by Ambrai restaurant for a drink and watch the sun set over the lake palace.
Truly called as "Venice of the East".
