I’m starting to wonder whether it would be possible to use a collection of these to illustrate NPCs in an adventure. I’m also realizing that I still haven’t quite discovered what makes a face a man or a woman outside of artificial markers like makeup and hair style. Is it just the chin, beard, and hair style? I think I need a WikiHow: Drawing Faces.

Not happy with either/blonde hair. Also, trying to stop endless fiddling and allowing for broad strokes to be all there is away from the eyes. Not sure this is a promising track.

I bought a mega pack of brushes for Procreate and tried to draw another dwarf with the STRAINED SUMI-E and GEISHA INK WET P4 brushes. I’m still not happy but this is already much better! I think this will get much better when I get my Apple Pencil back since this will allow me to vary stroke pressure (width, I hope) and tilt. At the moment I am stuck with finger painting and the iPad Pro does not habe a pressure sensitive display – none of that 3D Touch technology they added to the iPhone 6–8. Too bad!

Looking for that elven look. Black eyes? I like the Pathfinder elves in that respect. But how to get that androgynous look I would like them to have? The black eyed obvious male was the easiest to draw.

I'd love to paint setting stuff like Monet or Cézanne. But this app (Art Set) still needs some getting used to. I need to really get "my" palette set up before starting!

Time for new things! I've been wanting to do more with the Art Set app on the iPad. And with my monster manual done, it's time to explore! Here's a scene from The Lost City of Barakus, which is one of the elements in my German campaign. Just "pencil".

I'm not sure where to go with wraith. Roiling black smoke? I already have a spectre that looks like a nazgûl. Perhaps something like those tall black ghosts in the Stand Still. Stay Silent. webcomic?
