I can not believe I hadn't already shared this one.

I've gotten several new followers on some of my collections in the last day or two, so I wanted to do some new shares :)

This was a really lucky capture.  Some part of the distant utility poles caught the sunlight just right.  You can see how they glow where the cables meet the poles.

I've heard tell of something called #cloudporn , and maybe this will fall into that category.  This is one of many images I took from the interstate highway at 70mph.
I think I've managed to get some good (and clear) images from the car, but it took some practice to get the settings right.  This was done at:
ISO-200  (go higher in overcast or evening light)
f/5
1/1000 sec  (fast shutter speed to minimize motion blur)

A little late for #fromthecarTuesday  by +Jetski and +J. Rae Chip, but hopefully they won't mind.

And hopefully +Reggie Hudson and +Leigh Wheeler might be able to tell me if this qualifies as #cloudporn  ;~)

Added photos to LPC Contest #42: Summer.

This was my Perfect Summer Day shot - a windfarm in Colorado with rows of crops and tall weeds in the foreground.  I had a few similar shots - some with spindly sunflowers instead of weeds and grasses - and it was a hard choice.
You might be thinking that clouds and crops and weeds and windmills don't seem especially perfect as far as summer days go.  Well, it was pretty doggone awesome in my opinion.

Modern Prairie
Now you, too, can experience the epic occurrence of driving across the prairie states.  Some people see this as boring, unattractive scenery, but I saw a geometric harmony of forms and complementary colours.

I wonder if these angles and stripes were the inspiration for Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie House style?
