It may save a heap of money for you in the future.

A rural before and after theme this month. No pots on a chimney stack are barely noticeable from the ground but from scaffolding show the size of the holes allowing rain into the flues. Over time this soaks into the fabric of the chimney, causes damp problems indoors, allows birds to nest or, if you are unlucky, all 3. A fairly straight forward repair fixes this.

To win a free annual sweep identify your property or, as that only applies to 3 customers of ours, the general location.

November winner of a full stove refurbishment; rope seals, fire cement, glass clean and re-blacking service. This one has come up like new despite having had real heavy use over a number of years.

Remember, if you have a stove with a flexi liner installed get into a Spring cycle of sweeping to maximise the life of the liner.

A chimney fire generates enough heat to damage the fabric of a building. They generally occur through burning unseasoned wood that coats the flue with flammable tar/creosote or a lack of sweeping leads to similar build ups which eventually catch fire. To add insult to injury the fire service will pump water down the chimney.

You don't need this so book a professional chimney.
