Bantique Island is a small, quaint island that belongs to the Isla De Gigantes realm.
Pictured is, Jules Jaheute, welcoming you to this humble abode. So just sit right back, stretch-out and relax a while...

*Tangke Island At High Tide.

This is Tangke Island, one of the lovely islands located amidst the Isla De Gigantes realm. The water inside the lagoon area seeps-in via underground caves and thus it directly affects the lagoon water level as well. At the particular time this photo was taken, the sea level was at high tide and the sea water abounds everywhere as a result.

FYI: The name "Isla De Gigantes" means "Island of the Giants" and the term was derived from a team of archeologists that had discovered large, massive coffins scattered throughout the Isla De Gigantes territory.

*This was a panoramic attempt with my cellphone as I didn't have my digital camera available. The cellphone itself takes good pictures and it has no panoramic setting on it either. -It certainly was tough but it came out really nice though.

*The Horse Leg Of Milling Cave.

Inside Milling Cave, you will find what appears to be a *horse leg derived from the mineral deposits and water that is always present throughout Milling Cave's vast limestone network.

*If it seems that the horse leg is accompanied by complimentary "horse-chips," it was a completely natural occurrence in every essence. ;-)

*This was taken with my cellphone as I didn't have my digital camera available. The cellphone itself takes good pictures but in some cases, not as vivid as with my digital camera though.

*Tarsier In Rock.

Hidden deep inside the Isla De Gigantes' hills, there is Milling Cave. Inside this limestone cave, you will find numerous stalactites, stalagmites, and mineral deposits. But if you venture far enough, you will notice a Tarsier in rock, peering down upon you with his coy, half-smile welcoming you as you pass through.

*Young Boy On Seashell-Strewn Beach.

This seashell-strewn beach is the drop-off and pick-up point of Isla De Gigantes. The beach is full of colorful seashells from years and years of fishermen hauling in their rich harvest of crabs, scallops, oysters, varieties of fish - even lobsters at times too. Here a young Filipino boy greets passerby's with a friendly good morning.

*IDG Lighthouse Future Museum Project.

Isla De Gigantes (located in Carles, Iloilo, approximately 160 km south of Iloilo City) has an old Spanish Lighthouse that has been badly damaged due to over 150 years of neglect and weathering. This is the renovation that is in process to transform the large hall into a future lighthouse museum.
