So great to see all the sharing going on here! Thanks to all for your likes and shares!

This Collection features random Victorian recipes of all sorts. [ http://bit.ly/ArnoldsVictorianRecipes ] Most of these originate in advertising booklets, some of which will be reproduced in full. When I find the advertising overwhelming, only pages with recipes will be presented. This [ http://bit.ly/DessertsandConfections ] is a slideshow. Use pause control to get enough time to read (or make!) your favorite recipe. Good luck!

A New Victorian Recipe Collection [ http://bit.ly/HoodsCookBookNo1 ] has been added to my Google+ "Recipes of the Victorian Era" [ http://bit.ly/ArnoldsVictorianRecipes ] Collection.

Copyrighted sometime in the late 1800s by C.I. Hood Apothecaries Laboratory on Thorndike Street in Lowell MA, it is a bit heavy on the drug advertising. Click the images below to enlarge the contents. The blemish on the first image could not be corrected. Click [ http://bit.ly/HoodsCookBookNo1 ] to download the free PDF of the whole booklet.

Raison Pie or Poor Man's Cake, anybody? Lydia E. Pinkham Medicine Co. will keep you busy in the kitchen. Her many medications were available in case something went wrong. Praises for Pinkam's potions were printed from Willacoochee GA to Eureka CA to Sunbury PA. Testimony by Mrs. L. Schillaci, Miss B. Sonstrom, Mrs. W.R. Older and many others.

This is a small collection that you'll want to download. Click the link for the PDF file to access online, download or print. Fun cooking with a little advice on the side for curing any "nervous troubles" you may have! (Aren't we all nervous these days?)

Who was Lydia Estes Pinkham? see [ http://bit.ly/ArnoldCollectionsPage93 ] page 93 of the Earl J. Arnold Advertising Card Collection and your curiosity will be well rewarded. There's quite the background story here!
