I am a little lot behind with the #wildcardproject by +Al Chris, what can I say? I think the last time I posted was October....so, anyway, here is week 7 ~ road/street signs!

The #wildcardproject by +Al Chris has certainly been challenging! I don't know that this quite meets the topic for week 6 ~ car streaks, but here we are....
I know what comes to mind when I read 'car streaks' but without a classic car show filled with all sorts of shiny custom paint jobs and chrome I resorted instead to one of the boys model cars!

Week 5 of the #wildcardproject by +Al Chris ~ solitude

Where do you find solitude in the chaos of the school holidays? .... sometimes a kid's gotta do what a kid's gotta do to get a bit of peace and quiet and read a good book around here....

Week 4 of the #wildcardproject by +Al Chris ~ motion

Ribbons in the wind, a collage....

I had a few ideas for this weeks topic, unfortunately the persistent rain narrowed my options! It really did push me to put a lot of thought in and look at different ideas (and being stuck indoors, plenty of time to play with editing) .... next weeks topic will be challenging also ~ solitude ~ it will be the school holidays, nothing says solitude quite like having the boys home from school .... gonna have to get creative!

The biggest challenge for this weeks topic for the #wildcardproject by +Al Chris was an over~abundance of subject matter....books! My every day is filled with books, I am currently working towards a diploma in library and information studies, volunteer one day a week in a charity bookstore, volunteer one day a week in a library, as well as cataloging from home in my spare time, and am surrounded by books at home...ironically, I only have one hour a week available to read for pleasure!
...in the end I decided to just keep it simple...

For week 2 of the #wildcardproject by +Al Chris, this weeks topic is statue

Thank you +Al Chris for really inspiring me to get out and actually capture something on purpose!
This beautiful lady sits atop the War Memorial in The Square and is said to represent the spirit of motherhood. Unveiled in 1926, it is a replica of the one erected in Folkestone, Kent in 1922. She holds the wreath of remembrance in one hand and the New Zealand flag in the other.

Here's my take on texture for week 1 of the #wildcardproject by +Al Chris. I felt inspired by your textures found in nature and wanted to explore too but was confined to the indoors by the weather, so here's something from the unpredictable wilds of the lounge floor....
