Seiko 5 7009 Vietnam War Thai Military Watch.
The Calibre 7009 was a very popular movement for Seiko 5 watches of that era.

The Thai numerals give this watch a distinctive appearance. This watch has just been serviced after acquiring it off the Bay. Day quickset, date & time setting working flawlessly.

Season's Greetings Everyone.
I'm wearing the Perpetual Regulator R-01 today. It's made by Alex of Perpetual Watch HK. Alex optimises Seagull movements and produces limited runs on various models.
The Regulator is an interesting timepiece as the hour, minutes & seconds hands appear on separate mini-dials.

Wearing this Seiko 5 (7009-3140) reminds me of my youth. When this watch hit the streets, I was about to be conscripted into compulsory armed forces service & Def Leppard released their award winning album Pyromania and hit single Photograph.

Resurrected.
Many after market shops don't want to touch a chrono. Thankfully, someone from the land of smiles managed to do it. This watch has a significant meaning to me & it's for keeps. Glad to have it serviceable again.
Can't remember the model but it's a limited release pilot's watch with slide-rule bezel.
