I consider my G+ Collections as a web based exhibition. Since the comments (flipping) have disabled the way I work, I will try this option for now.
.
Based on the past five years: As usual, trolls and bullies, spammers and people who write in weird/cryptical ways will be excluded.
(This is a Guest Book, not discussion forum: Thank you.)

Winter in SoCal.

Just a little life sign, I'm working on a personal project, which takes some time.

Zzyzx, CA

A 360º view from Zzyzx near the end of the road. Population is: one.
It looks like snow, but the hot air will tell otherwise: A salt crust that crunches softly under one's feet. Silence, and wind. Time stands still during the visit.

Park in Glendale, CA

Fall has come, the first leave went down. ;-)

I had build a tiny travel "pano carbon head" over the weekend. Here with a 220 degree view. This was the first test. The original, printed out, would be 80 inches wide while providing normal photo details.

ENJOY.

Glendale, CA

Just a moment of peace. Fall in Southern California.

(Why is it a panorama? It's a 180º view. )

LA Photowalk Sept 09 Santa Monica, CA
Another meeting with The Arcanum Master +Trey Ratcliff, I guess my fourth one with him in California.
Always a pleasure to meet so many people.
Here is quick edit, just to share the mood of the evening.
.
I had some ideas, but the development needs some time; More later, the first review of the images looks promising.

La Tuna Fire, Ca (Day One)

It was like Hell. We were in shock. Now it is contained to 90% and hasn't grown in size since two days, we feel safe again. This was too close for my taste.
But an album about California wouldn't be complete without it.

Since it has been fought down, I hope the image by itself has some value, at least to be careful close to anything that can burn.

Sunset over Sunland, CA

The pollution from the fire mixed a little bit lilac into the horizon. Well, since the fire is close to be contained, time to focus on nice things again.

La Tuna Fire, Day 4, POV: POV: Deukmejian Park, Los Angeles, CA. (It's nearly over)

After the first three very rough days, it feels like peace is in the "air". The horizon shows tinted from the pollution, and smell of a camp fire is in the air.
.
70% contained, and the conditions are much better.
Thank you very much Fire Fighters!

La Tuna Fire, Day 1, POV: Deukmejian Park, Los Angeles, CA

The fire has spread in hours at this point to a couple of miles. Later that night and the following day it nearly exploded.
On day three (Sept 03 at 6pm PCT) it was announced that 25% containment have been established. A few days, so the estimate of the officials, is the time to get this under control.
I'm grateful to anyone who helped during this fire.
