Kota Bharu’s Central Market

If you happen to love photography as well as fresh food, Kota Bharu’s Central Market (or Pasar Besar Siti Khadijah in Bahasa Malaysia) might just be the place for you. Located a short walking distance from Kota Bharu’s main bus station, it is the city’s largest wet market and one of its main attractions.

A new day

"With the development of the surrounding area over the years (and the current reclamation project) much of the beachfront along Gurney Drive is no longer there. There is however a small stretch at the eastern end (near the Northam Beach cafe) where you can catch a glimpse into how things once were. It is a nice spot to go for an early morning walk, and if you’re up early enough, to catch a sunrise."
