Found a Flower!

At Eden Nature Park, they have some pretty fun things to experience! They also have a great view of Davao from up high on the mountainside.

But they also have cute little things to look down at as well. Like these cute fluffy little pink flowers that were all over the place.

City Skyline from the Airport

When I was on the airport shuttle going between terminals, I was lucky enough to get this shot before the hill got higher.

Driving Through Davao

Question: Is it possible to remove glass reflections in post? Or is this just a bad shot in general? It was hard getting a good shot in the car.

Basically this is the kind of city scenery you'll see driving through Davao. Manila is also similar, but with skyscrapers included. Also, traffic in the Philippines is insane. People make their own turning lanes, straddle lanes to see which one will go faster before merging... it's crazy. Just leave the driving to other people.

The Apothecary

Sonya's Garden had all sorts of cute little shops and restaurants in it. The Apothecary was basically a gardening essentials shop with different types of seeds, tools, etc. They also have a spa here, too!

Sonya's Garden: Part 2

In case you couldn't tell, I really liked these flowers. And they came in two different colors! Btw, are these cosmos flowers?

Halo-Halo

One of my favorite Filipino desserts (when done right) is halo-halo. My cousins took me to this awesome outdoor plaza that served it with the perfect amount of ice! So even when the elements started melting my dessert, it didn't taste all bland and watery. I still had that perfect amount of creaminess to it.

Sonya's Garden

I think we meant to go to some other garden in Tagaytay, but we settled on this one because we made a wrong turn. Either way, they had a beautiful garden layout going on!

Taal Lake

In the middle of this lake lives the second most active volcano, Taal Volcano.

Fun Fact: All volcanoes in the Philippines are part of the Ring of Fire.

Mall of Asia

If you're in Manila, a must-see is the Mall of Asia. Known for its famous globe sculpture just at the entrance, you really can't miss it! There's so many stores and restaurants to try out that you could probably spend half your day here exploring everything.

Fun Fact: The globe was temporarily turned into a pokéball when Pokémon Go was released in the Philippines.

Sunset Along the Beach

As we headed back to our hotel at the end of the day, I happened to catch this gorgeous view of the beach at a red light. (I think we were driving through a Makati traffic jam at this point.)

It might not be easy to tell in my photos, but the Philippines has beautiful, giant, and majestic clouds throughout the islands. That's probably what I miss most about this place. I thought Arizona was already the pinnacle of open sky -- the Philippines takes it to another level.
