As a person who fancies himself as a bit of an archivist, I don't have to like all of the music on these pages. My goal however is to inform, entertain and perhaps bring back some memories. If you ever wondered what happens when you take a band on it's last legs and attempt to go into another direction entirely, then read on.

A band who not only did well one their own, but helped define what is now known as the "Memphis Sound". On the blog is a taping of a concert in Norway which (in my opinion) rivals the actual recording.

This song hit the chart four times in it's history. We hear the original (by Dionne Warwick's sister!) and a hot live version from the person who took it to number 1. By the way...it hit the top on this day 42 years ago.
