I upgraded this blog to use the "Notable" theme in the exciting new #Blogger "Responsive" class templates, in early 2018. I always considered the big black box title, in the page / post pages, to be ugly.

Last week, I was able to make this blog a bit prettier, using 10 minutes of my time - and the Template Designer Advanced menu.

The Google+ Share counter, once a key detail in the #Blogger dashboard Posts page, was unreliable. It was originally intended to serve as an equivalent to the FaceBook "Like" counter, in suggesting the popularity of a given blog or post.

Unfortunately, too many Google+ members use Google+ simply to boost personal popularity, by irresponsibly sharing, re sharing, and "+1" - without actually discussing, following, or reading shared content. The Share counter would climb rapidly, without any actual blog content being read. Blog owners were confused by the difference in the Share counter, and actual blog activity.

After a recent Google+ redesign, Blogger removed the Share counter from the Posts page.

Some #Blogger blog owners, needing emergency access to their accounts, find that the old SMS based authentication token does not always work, reliably. SMS is slowly becoming obsolete, for several reasons.

For emergency account access, Google now provides 2 Step Verification, which offers several options for providing recovery. Both SMS recovery, and 2SV recovery, require registration while the account is accessible.

For a week, we've been dealing with #Blogger blog owners reporting mysterious redirecting by their blogs. Many helpers have dismissed the issue, as another popular third party gadget publisher gone out of business.

Today, the redirection changed - to an email mining op.

If you recently upgraded your #Blogger blog to use an exciting new "Responsive" theme, and you can't find the sidebar, with its wonderful complement of gadgets, that's because the sidebar is now hidden.

Just click on the "hamburger" icon, and all will be seen.

It appears that some of the #Blogger custom domain "A" address name servers are using "Frame Forwarding", instead of "Referral", to redirect the domain root to the published URL. Frame forwarding strips away the post address portion of the URL - leaving only the domain root.

Some blog owners use the domain root to advertise their blog posts - and are seeing only the blog home page, instead of the individual posts, when linking to the posts.

If your #Blogger blog uses Google+ hosted comments, and you automatically share posts to Google+, you'll see a post snippet, published as a Google+ comment, immediately after you publish a new post. It's completely logical - yet irritating.

One of the challenges with the recently added #Blogger "HTTPS Redirect" may involve private blogs, and the Blogger private blog interstitial display. "Third party" cookie filters will complicate the problem.

HTTPS Availability is now an option for all #Blogger blogs. - including The Real Blogger Status.

This blog will continue to offer HTTP, for readers who can't use HTTPS - but those who require HTTPS can now use it, to access this blog - and other custom domain published blogs.

Many #Blogger problems, when being diagnosed, start with advice to clear browser cache (maybe, cache, cookies, and sessions). Not all problems involved the published posts - some involve the posts feed.

You can't clear feed cache, as you can browser cache, because newsfeed content is not cached in the browser. You can, however, force a newsfeed rebuild, by restarting the newsfeed.
