Independent Tesla body shop installs first Powerpack project in Benelux

Tesla has been expanding its energy division lately and it is starting to result in many new projects being deployed.

Tesla is sending hundreds of battery packs to power outage-ridden Puerto Rico

Earlier this month, we reported on survivors of hurricane Irma, which hit the islands of Caribbean communities, including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, writing ‘SEND TESLA’ with the debris of their destroyed home.

At the time, we couldn’t be sure what they meant, but now we have a better idea since Tesla confirmed that have been sending hundreds of battery packs to power outage-ridden Puerto Rico.

Tesla extends referral program to solar and Powerwall customers

Tesla has updated its popular referral program to include customers who have purchased either a solar product or the company’s home battery unit, Powerwall. The update is effective September 28, 2017.

Model S and Model X owners are also impacted by the new update and can now refer friends to purchase Tesla solar products. Likewise, Tesla solar customers can refer friends to purchase solar panels or a Model S/X with free unlimited Supercharging.

First look at Tesla’s new ‘most powerful battery system in the world’ project in Australia

Today, Tesla held an event to ‘celebrate’ their new giant Powerpack project in Australia. The company gave a first look at the project and confirmed that they signed the interconnection agreement with the local utility, which was the requirement to start the deadline for Elon Musk’s bet to “deliver the project in 100 days or it’s free.”

Tesla Powerwall 2 starts trickling down to more markets in the US

The company started expanding installations to more markets, like in Minnesota, where a local solar installer, All Energy Solar, confirmed having installed the first 12 Powerwall 2s in the state.

Tesla Starts Production of Solar Cells in Buffalo

Tesla’s Solar Roof patent reveals “conductive paste” used for tile bonding

Tesla was granted a patent for its Solar Roof on August 29 for a new way to bond the roof shingles together, pushing forward a more efficient way to construct and install its photovoltaic roof tiles.

The patent, a 28-page request for “Systems, Method, and Apparatus for Curing Conductive Paste,” allows Tesla to bond solar cell-embedded tiles with an adhesive that is thermally cured under heat, and enables electrical conductivity between the bonded materials.
