Yosemite Moonlit

While on the road I shared an image from within Yosemite National Park shot from the area of Bridal Veil Falls. The image has the granite cliffs highlighted by moonlight and the foreground with a bit of red light painting. Here is the final version of that image.

The potato fields of Gembrook in the early morning light this morning taken from Track Patrol. The foreground fields are fallow this year with everything past the trees under crop. Gembrook learned some lessons the hard way in recent times with their crops being banned from shipping outside of Gembrook because of potato blight. The area has completely changed its farming practices introducing fallow fields that go to weed and beef cattle before doing a round or two of potatoes.

The old farm shed,
cobbled together out of whatever lay to hand,
hodgepodge of rusty metal and recycled wood,
gaps and crevices in the walls,
cold in winter,
boiling hot in summer,
extended as needed, never the same,
slowly sagging later in life,
no one cares much.
