How Many Hours Did You Work This Week?

Just a simple poll, gauging how many hours most of us worked. I usually work 48 hours each week, out at the Tesla Gigafactory. But I added 24 hours OT, for a total of 72. So, on average, how many hours do you work each week?

Note: No judgement for anyone looking for work, or not working, or out on disability or unable to work etc. I'm simply trying to see how many hours we spend at work throughout the world...

This poll is about SIZE. For myself, for many years, I was a 2X in shirts. I think all of us go up and down sometimes with clothing sizes, and this is in no way an indictment against anyone's size. I realize it is a very personal question.

After moving to Reno, and doing my daily 25-35,000 steps a day, working out at the Tesla plant, I moved to XL after a month, then to L for a while, and now I'm on the cusp of Medium. Squee!

POLL QUESTION: what size are you now?

Bonus Question: What size shirt do you aspire to?

SUPERBOWL LI

Easy poll. Who do you want or think will win? Passions run high in the USA when it comes to the Superbowl, and as the Patriots are so loved (cough) this ought to be interesting.

Bonus: Any special PLANS or PARTIES/EVENTS planned for the big day?

KEURIG

Dead simple poll: do you have one of these single serve coffee makers in your home, or not? (with a few other alternatives)...

Everywhere I go, I see K-Cup pods for all these Keurig coffee makers. And I mean everywhere. So I wondered how many of my fellow coffee-drinkers on the Plus have at least one of their systems?

1. I have a KEURIG coffee machine, and it IS dead simple to use!

2. I don't have this system, but I'd like to.

3. I prefer my old Mr. Coffee or other coffee makers.

4. I'm not a coffee drinker.

5. Starbucks and others make my coffee: I'm lazy! :-)

The Graveyard Poll

So, as we all know, a boatload of celebrities, musicians and great people have died during this ugly year of 2016. I wanted this poll to be a reminder of where you are in the process of death and dying.

Death and Dying is very different in other cultures. But here, there's often a funeral service, followed by a burial service at the graveside, then a wake at a nearby home or location. Nowadays, we talk about burial versus cremation, and we talk about our last wishes at our service.

If you watched Love Actually, there was an awesome church service that featured the immortal sounds of the Bay City Rollers. For my own service, I could imagine 100 bands being played, but I'd likely have them play "The Gift" by The Jam. It reminds me of one of the best times of my life, visiting London. Or maybe "American Pie" by Don McLean, And everyone would have to be drinking single-malt Scotch. We've had great discussions about D&D over the years here on G+. Search my posts and you'll discover them...

Do you have a plan if you were to die suddenly? A plan like a Will, or instructions for your last service? Have you chosen the music? Have you chosen the Bible passages to be read, or the words you'd like your favorite speaker to say about your life? Will it be sad or completely joyful??

I think for me, I'd have one of my friends here on G+ read one of my poems, and talk about how freakin' much I have always loved the good people I've met here. I would want a happy service, and a very happy wake, and I would want everyone to smile, and sing, and enjoy each other's company, and share with the world how much I have ALWAYS loved the fuck out of G+ (and share with the world how Google+ has been the absolute best part of my entire life!!)

1. I have specific plans if I die. I've made a will; I've left detailed instructions for what happens for me and my family if I have an untimely death. I'm organized, and prepared to face Death head on.

2. I'm a procrastinator, and haven't put anything in writing yet, but I will at some point. It just seems far down the road for me.

3. Look, when you die, you die. All of the ceremonies and services are like theater to me: they're superfluous. Dead is dead, and that's what I believe.

4. Look, whatever it takes, I want the happiest wake of all time if I kick the bucket. I do. I want all of my friends family, and G+ friends to be sauced, or high, and I want crazy fun music mixed with awesome food. I want it to be a wake that people talk about twenty or thirty years later! That would make me so goddamn happy in the afterlife!

5. My goals in life have revolved around helping people whenever I could, being a teacher, being a great friend and family member, being there for everybody who counted on me, and hopefully serving as an inspiration to multiple generations. That is what I have striven for since my first days on G+. If I accomplish that - I think I will rest easy in my cool afterlife; my party in the sky!!

The Christmas Question

IN GENERAL (meaning it doesn't have to be this way every year), what kind of Christmas do you usually have? (if you celebrate the holiday at all)

I asked this question two years ago. This is an exact COPY of that. I want to compare responses and see how today's crowd responds, given what a strange year it's been for everyone.

1. Traditional -- filled with family, memories, things from the past plus new things from now. It's how we've always done it, and we wouldn't change a thing. We love all the classic trappings of the holiday.

2. Minimalist -- we like clean lines and we keep the decorations and the holiday to a minimum, never going overboard too much. We experiment with minimalist ideas and designs and have a blast!

3. Radical -- we are INSANE for the holiday, and it shows in how completely overboard we go. Yes, we're nuts about the holiday and can't imagine doing it any other way. Nor would we want to. Go, Christmas!

4. Regional -- we decorate for the holiday based on where we are at that time. If we're at our cabin, it's a Country Christmas. If we're in Boston, it has an Eastern Seaboard flavor. If we're visiting friends in Europe, we honor their traditions and ways. And if we're at home, we make it fit into where we live.

5. Retro Or Futuristic -- look, we're crazy about the past, about history and antiques and we love to celebrate the holiday in a very retro style. Or -- we love everything abut the future, and we like to make this holiday all about cool things we imagine from the future. There may be be some retro things to give us ideas, but every Christmas we have is always really "out there." Literally!

If your Christmas isn't on this list, leave a comment and let the world know. As for us, it varies. but we usually fit under the RADICAL category, going all out. And we wouldn't want it any other way (most years. ha!)

The Apocalypse

How confident are you that you and your family could survive long-term through a Nuclear Apocalypse, or WWIII, or some other event like a global pandemic? How prepared are you and your family for multiple eventualities, wherever you are in the world? How PREPARED are you for the unknown, if tomorrow all supermarkets were looted, and all food disappeared - and all water was controlled by leader-led mobs, as the world fell off the grid?

This is where scientists and doctors will hold the upper hand (as well as Bookmen who keep libraries of all things "survivalist.") This is why a common man may become a leader since he has knowledge about how to harness solar energy, and how to properly address crop rotation in the future. This is why there were so many popular "survivalist" books in the 70s through today: being prepared just might save your life, and that of your family. Are you prepared? Are you ready?

Anything. Anything is possible when megalomaniacs seize control of nations all over the planet.

1. I'm ready for ALL eventualities. I'm a prepper, and I've planned for this for many years.

2. I'm kind of ready, but I need to prepare more. I've stockpiled many things, but I need to do much more to prepare for me and my family.

3. I'm not ready at all. I have no food stockpiles, no weapons, no plan, and I LIVE with the grid. If this "apocalypse" hits the world, we're gonners. Death is imminent, and maybe that's a blessing, as who would want to live in this sort of world?

4. I don't believe we'll see this sort of "apocalypse" in our lifetimes. I think it's a myth perpetrated by imaginative writers and politicians with agendas. I can't see this happening in my lifetime.

5. If it happens, it happens. And God help us all. No, I'm not prepared for it, and no, I have no plan. I'll spend my last moments on Earth praying for my family and living my religion, and hoping it is all a big mistake. In any case, it has got to be God's will, so I'll accept it.

The Holidays

This is probably the toughest question I've asked here in POLLS before, considering what a polarizing year it's been in the US.

How do you think your holiday season will go this year, when you mix in your friends and family, and family visits?

This is mostly geared towards those of us in the US, with our Trifecta of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's, but it's applicable world-wide when you factor in other countries, other holidays, beliefs, religions, etc.

1. It will be a ROCK N' ROLLIN' good time for all. No controversy, no fights, just the most pleasant times ahead.

2. It's going to get UGLY, as in Guiness Book of World Records ugly. My family is divided, our politics are divided, and I'm sure I'll have that one Uncle or Aunt who becomes the powder-keg for the festivities.

3. I think it will be mixed. Friends and family will start with being pleasant, then things like Bourbon and long-held beliefs will rear their ugly heads.

4. Thank God I won't be around people this year (especially this year) as my imagination sees get-together's and events fraught with danger right now. i will be holed up, completely isolated from all friends and family. And I will have dodged many bullets by doing so...

5. I have no idea, but whatever happens, happens. Adults need to be adults, and they need the OWN all the things they've said and written. Nobody gets a pass in my book, from my parents to my friends.

GUNS

Here's a topical poll for the New America some of us will be facing in a few months. How many guns are in your household? How many do you have (or do you plan to buy) to help drive the Racist Zombies off your property?

1. I own or will buy 1-10 guns. A Racist Zombie touches my lawn, I shoot to kill. #imjustsayin

2. I own or will buy 10-100 guns since you can never have enough in Murica. Truly, if my guns were girlfriends or boyfriends, I'd be labeled a gigolo.

3. I own ZERO guns and never will, since I think they should all be melted down and made into statues, and pretty things like that.

4. I can't own a GUN in my country. We're smart like that.

5. Guns are for wussies; weak little boys and girls. Give me a Samurai katana sword any day, and I'll show you how real men and women deal with trespassers and racists on my property.

Classic Vs. New Google+ (and more)

I keep simplifying some of my posts, and this is the most simplified yet. You have two choices (plus bonus options). Hopefully, some of the G+ Gods will see this.

1. I am ADDICTED to CLASSIC G+, and want to keep it.

2. I am ADDICTED TO the NEW G+ and like it much better.

3. If we went back to the ORIGINAL FLOWING STREAM, I'd be as happy as a lark...

4. I don't care what UI we have, as long as it loads fast!

5. I don't know what a UI is, but I like cake. :-)

For myself, I like multiple columns on my wide screen, and I kinda think the new version looks ridiculous there. I'd like 3-5 wide if possible versus the TWO on the new version. But I will admit one thing: the NEW version LOADS MUCH, much faster for me, so, well, there's that.

Short of returning to the COOL, MASSIVELY FLOWING STREAM of the early days of G+, which version do you prefer?
